Infitech

Brief
Infitech is a 3D animation project that explains the science behind Alzheimer’s disease while showcasing the client’s newly developed drug, AA3.
details
AA3 can enhance synaptic function.

Strategy
Infitech is a spin-off company from the HKUST lab. This video highlights one of their latest discoveries, AA3, an anti-amyloid compound derived from Chinese herbs, designed to prevent or alleviate degenerative brain diseases. Targeted at a layman audience, particularly the elderly who may not have a scientific background, the first half of the video uses vivid visualizations of neuron networks to depict the inner workings of the human brain. It illustrates why neurons begin to deteriorate as people age, explaining the mechanism behind Alzheimer's disease. Given the complexity of the subject, we incorporated alternative visuals and special effects to simplify the science behind synaptic signal transmission. These creative decisions were vetted by the client during production to ensure the science is approachable for the audience while maintaining visual variety and dynamic scene transitions. After establishing a foundational understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, the video transitions to demonstrate how the AA3 compound strengthens synaptic connections and enhances brain plasticity, aiding in the fight against Alzheimer's. To reinforce the film’s clarity, we also incorporated a 3D model of the human brain at the beginning and at the end of the film, showing how the drug revitalizes brain function.
